WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP
We are looking for a mid-level UX Designer to transform complex user needs into intuitive, research-driven experiences. This role focuses on user research, behavioral analysis, prototyping, and design systems, working closely with product and engineering teams to ensure our platform is user-centered and scalable.
About the role
Primary Responsibilities
- User Research & Insight Gathering
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative user research (e.g., interviews, usability tests, surveys) to uncover user needs, pain points, and mental models.
- Analyze behavioral data and user feedback to inform design decisions and product strategy.
- Support the Product Manager in synthesizing insights and translating them into actionable design opportunities.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to align user needs with business goals.
- UX Design & Prototyping
- Design intuitive user flows, wireframes, flowcharts, and interaction patterns that make complex tasks simple and engaging.
- Create interactive prototypes in tools like Figma (or your preferred tool) for usability testing and rapid idea validation.
- Define and document interaction behaviors, micro-interactions, and UX patterns for scalable implementation.
- Usability Testing & Design Validation
- Run usability testing sessions to validate design solutions, iterate quickly, and continuously improve user experience.
- Apply usability heuristics, accessibility (a11y) standards, and inclusive design practices to ensure products are usable by all.
- Advocate for evidence-based design by leveraging insights, research findings, and data.
- Design System & Visual Consistency
- Contribute to and evolve the design system, centralizing design standards and ensuring consistency, scalability, and reusability of components.
- Champion UX guidelines and documentation to maintain product coherence across the platform.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Collaboration & Alignment
- Work closely with Frontend Engineers to ensure design feasibility and fidelity in implementation.
- Partner with Product Managers to shape user stories, acceptance criteria, feature definitions, requirements, and success metrics.
- Provide input in design critiques, ensuring solutions meet both user needs and technical constraints.
- Operational & Marketing Support
- Support operations with demo materials, copy, and design assets when needed.
- Contribute to marketing design assets and report design elements as required.
- Mentorship & Thought Leadership
- Share knowledge and promote best practices in UX research, design, and prototyping across the team.
- Stay up-to-date with UX trends, tools, and emerging practices, bringing fresh ideas to the team.
Requirements
Technical & Design Skills:
- English level: B2 or higher – we’re an international team; all meetings and communication are in English.
- Design Tools: Expertise in Figma (or equivalent tools like Sketch, Adobe XD) for wireframing, prototyping, and design systems.
- Research Tools: Familiarity with tools like Maze, UserTesting, Dovetail, or similar for conducting and analyzing user research.
- UX Principles: Strong grasp of usability heuristics, interaction design principles, accessibility (WCAG 2.1+), and responsive design.
- Prototyping & Testing: Ability to create interactive prototypes and run usability tests to validate ideas with tools like Lovable.
- User Stories: Experience writing or contributing to user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Metrics & Analytics (Nice to Have): Basic understanding of product analytics tools (e.g., Mixpanel, GA4) to inform design with data.
- AI Integration (Nice to Have): Experience designing for AI-centered user experiences, e.g., chatbots, recommendation systems, or LLM-powered interfaces.
